This is our second pair of light-up shoes from Stride Rite. The first pair were my kid’s absolute favorite shoes. However, the velcro strap became useless long before the shoe was outgrown and long before the rest of the shoe wore out. We bought new velcro and tried to hand sew it on, then tried to machine sew it — with no luck. This new pair seems to have the same bad velcro and we expect it will be a nuisance. But my kid loves the light-up so much, and the shoe is otherwise good, we bought them anyway. We bought 3 other brands of light-up shoes before these that had narrow toes or were stiff and unbreathable, or had unresponsive lights or power buttons on the lights. The Stride right is breathable, has toe room, and is flexible enough for growing feet. The light up effect works great, every step. It is super bright, which is actually a safety feature outside in the dark!

My son has very wide feet and the wide was wide enough. He loves the light up feature, and they seem to be wearing very well.
