I was totally disappointed in these shoes. Stride Rite has always stood for quality and has been my go to shoe for years. But these shoes have absolutely no support and the soles are so thin, it would be like walking barefoot. My grandson is 11 months old and walking. I would certainly not start him in a shoe that doesn’t provide any support. $43 for a shoe that appears to be dime-store quality.

These were my son’s first real shoe. They held up as well as I’d expect (for white sneakers) and I got a lot of compliments on them.

Cute and easy to get on fat baby feet!

This shoe is super cute but I wish the velcro strap was longer. I can barely get it to wrap and connect to the other side.

I got these for my great-nephew’s first birthday. He has just begun to walk, and when he saw the shoes, he reached for them eagerly. They were fairly easy to put on him, despite his wiggling and squirming. The minute they were on his feet, he wanted to be put down — and he began toddling around in them just fine. Someone in the family commented on how well he was walking in them. They’re a hit!

Finally! A pair of shoes that fit my baby’s chubby Flintstone feet. The XW slid on like butter, and are his official 1st hard sole shoes.

LOVE this show! My baby has the fattest and wisest feet!! Lol! They fit him perfectly and he loves them!

Awesome shoes! my boy was a late walker, so we need flexible and comfy shoes to keep on walking and improving running, these are great! the size guide is very helpful, we ordered 4.5 and they fit nicely

Not the best looking shoe, but good for early walkers!

The Velcro strap broke after one month, it’s hanging by a thread

So cute and sturdy. My 1 year old grandson is not trying to pull them off, so I am guessing they are comfortable.

Perfect for my Grandson!

Great shoe that seems to hold up well even in our rough driveway.

The shoes were for my grandson. They are so cute and seem to be a very good purchase/

Great for chubby toddler feet. My son still has baby shaped feet, but is a full-on, running around, super busy toddler. It’s been really difficult to find shoes that he can get into and stay comfortable in toddler sizes. The extra wide is still a little snug on him, but these have Velcro on the tongue as well as the side of the shoe, so they stay on easier. They open up wide and are stretchy enough to get his little foot in, but not so tight that they’re uncomfortable. Love the flexible soft leather that keeps his feet warm and dry, and allows him to have flexibility of movement.

These are great! They fit well, are easy to get on and stay on. They are very flexible so it is easy for a new walker to maneuver in them. They are quality built, look good, and the color goes with with so many outfits. I plan to order more in the next sizes up for future use.

An exceptional shoe and a great value. Toddlers should learn to walk barefoot as much as possible for balance and confidence as they transition from crawling to those little feet … these soft and flexible shoes are the next best thing to bare toes. Adorable, fashionable and very well made. Congrats Stride Rite for getting it right!

ADORABLE!!! Well made…perfect for those little feet finding their way with support and form. Love! Love! Love!

Second pair of this same shoe I’ve purchased for my son (just new color and size this time). Very well made and he seems to like them. Only weird thing was they didn’t come in a shoebox?

The extra-wide is excellent for fat little toddler feet!
I totally disagree with the reviewer who said these are poor quality. They are sturdy and the sole is soft and comfy.
As for arch support, all toddlers through 16 months have flat feet and don’t achieve a full arch till they’re 6-8 years old. These are PERFECT infant/toddler shoes!

They fit perfect and left lots of room for toes to stretch.

These shoes are so nice, the color is more of a dark gray instead of the tan pictured on the website. Very pleased, our 10 month old walks much better in these shoes than bare feet.

I got these for my two year old and so far so good. The quality isn’t the same as it used to be, in terms of the stitching and such but he likes them, and they’re flexible to allow for proper foot development, so we’re happy.

We had some other sneakers when my son started walking. They were so hard to get on. These are easy to get on. They seem very comfortable with the padding in the heel cup and the rounded toe. Highly recommend these for new walkers. We got the navy ones, and they work for casual outfits and can even pass with church clothes. Seems silly to have multiple pairs of shoes at this age when his feet grow so fast.
We will probably be loyal to stride rite for my son’s shoes for quite a while.

BEST TODDLER SHOES EVER! Why don’t you make these in larger size so my son can wear them until he goes to college???
